Saturday Storyteller Interview: Nikki Sex

Please welcome the gorgeous Nikki as she tells us about her hot new release and her favourite characters!
What’s your name and where do you come from?
My name is Nikki Sex. I was born in the US, but now I live in sun-shiny Sydney!
Lucky you! So tell us a bit about your latest release.
My latest book Karma is a story about how the choices we make can lead to good or bad things. My heroine finds her confidence as a person and a desirable woman. It is a stand-alone feel good story that will hopefully make people think about why things happen the way they do.
Now your stuff is pretty hooooot, where do you get your inspiration from?
I know it sounds trite. . . but I really do get my stories from real life. Every story I’ve written has an element of truth to it, whether it’s from my life, or from something that happened to a friend, or from someone I’ve worked with. I think we all have a story to tell, and I’ve been lucky enough to tell more than my fair share!
And with all these gorgeous heroes you write, do you have a favourite character from your books? Why are they your favourite?
Oh it’s Andre for sure! He plays some role in all of my books. I would be very happy if I had an Andre all of my own ;-)
What do you do to unwind and relax?
I watch a lot of British comedy :-) I love Vicar of Dibley, and Red Dwarf, and the I.T. Crowd. Awesome.
Now spill...what’s your greatest weakness?
Like a lot of people, I tend to doubt myself more often than is healthy. Even now, when so many of my books have been successful, I still find myself thinking “I don’t know why I’m writing this, it’s crap, I shouldn’t even bother.” I think most authors run into this stumbling block on occasion.
Thanks so much for joining us today, Nikki. To round things up why don't you tell us something that might surprise our readers.
For years I worked as a nurse in a prison, and also at a psychiatric ward. Never a boring day working there!

Sometimes love has nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with karma…
Marcy Paget worked full-time putting her husband through University. When he finally became a success, he dumped her for a trophy wife more than ten years younger, leaving Marcy to raise their four year old daughter on her own.
Even though Marcy knows she is better off alone than with a cheating husband who doesn't love her, she is still struggling to make ends meet.
When an ethical dilemma presents itself she makes a choice - never realizing the incredible karmic chain of events that will follow her decision. . .
