Please welcome Eva to our blog! She's telling us where she gets her inspiration and how to write the perfect hero!
What’s your name and where do you come from? Eva Lindke
Tell us a bit about your latest release. The Pink Cove Volume 1 was re-released in 2013 and Volume 2 will be out in June 2014
Where do you get your inspiration from? I started the series with a ‘Call for Submissions’ from Harlequin. When it was accepted I was excited. However the new genre was cancelled and I was left with a manuscript and crushed dreams. So I said the heck with it and published it myself.
How do you go about creating the perfect "Swoon" worthy man? Every woman’s fantasy is different so though my novels have two male characters. One main and one secondary. The males are distinctly different one muscular and big and one trim fit but thinner. One barbaric in his manners and one sweet and quiet. But in bed both are gentle while being rough. It’s a unique mix to make the two men distinctively different.
Do you have a favourite character from your books? Why are they your favourite? I can’t help but love Lela. She came into the story half way through but she is just an amazing spirit girl. Who is beautiful and hides it. I think there is a little Lela in everyone.
What do you do to unwind and relax? Drink wine and watch old BBC movies like Pride and Prejudice.
What’s your greatest weakness? Always wanting to be helpful and filling my life with being busy instead of stopping and enjoying it.
What trait do you find the sexiest? It’s just in the way a man looks at you and you know he finds you attractive.
How do you decide how hot or not your book is going to be? Will all my novels the story tells itself. But I find that in this series if I am struggling then I need to put a hot scene in to spice it up.
Is there any erotic scenarios you wouldn’t write about? I believe in freedom to be who you are in religion, and life experiences. I would love to have more same sex scenes to bring the story behind the Pink Cove to life. However I don’t feel I could do those scenes justice. So they are the only ones I won’t write at this time.
Is the stuff you write about from experience or mostly imagination? Mainly imagination. I imagine what would shock people and then put that into the book.
What’s your idea of a perfect romantic evening? I love Friday night Pizza night where my guy and I sit at home eat pizza, drink adult beverages and watch movies.
What do you do to get in the mood for writing love scenes? Candles, music etc? Interesting question, nothing really. I think about the scenes coming up for a day or two and then just write. The problem is when I write I tend to do it for hours.
Tell us something that might surprise our readers. I surprise myself that I can write these types of books. I have always thought of myself as well quite prudish and conservative. If you told me twenty years ago I would be writing these books I would have laughed and possibly cringed. With age comes wisdom.
A new emerging Southern New Jersey author, Eva Lindke is taking the Romance field by storm. Her novels fall into a category of their own, sultry. Her sultry novels are not as extensively graphic as erotic but hotter than what is normally considered steamy romance novels.
Eva is a unique mix of quiet restraint with a wild mind of romance and seduction. She is a unique individual who is turning out romance novels that are amazing and keep the reader on track.
The Pink Cove series is the Pinnacle of the sultry novel genre. It is a unique and racy private club where people either fear it or desire to be a part of it. The Pink Cove allows you to be free to experience your greatest desires without the fear of persecution for “normal” society.
Eva Lindke developed this genre out of a realization that a category of readers where not being reached. Now she is becoming more in demand and her readers can’t wait for the next installment of The Pink Cove clan to be released. Because of the genre Eva is somewhat of a recluse and only steps out from behind her computer or other devices for a few rare book appearances. But one look at Eva and you realize that she is as unique as her characters.
Eva loves to travel to new exotic locations but often favors those places surrounded by warm tropical water.
