Saturday Storyteller Interview: Krissy Daniels

Please welcome Krissy to our blog today as she talks about her new release and things she finds sexy!

What’s your name and where do you come from?
Hi! I’m Krissy Daniels. I live in the gorgeous Seattle area.

Tell us a bit about your latest release.
Aflame is a spicy hot paranormal romance. The first in a series that follows the lives of a breed of warriors created by fallen angels. Grayce hates men, has a foul mouth to rival any trucker and a nuclear temper that’s more powerful than she could ever imagine. Zander has a heart of gold, muscles of steel and superhuman abilities. Together, their powers only get stronger. Thank goodness for that. Tyr, the violent psychopath who’d tortured Grayce for years, has come back to claim her. Grayce fights to free herself from the binds of her past. Zander fights to help Grayce control her rage before she destroys everyone and everything in her path. His true challenge, however, is to help her trust and love again.

Do you have a favourite character from your books? Why are they your favourite?
I love them all so much but if I’m going to be totally honest, the bad guy is usually my favourite. The baddies are just so damn fun to write.

What’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?
My Sexy Boyfriend writes the most beautiful letters to me in birthday and anniversary cards. I always cry when I reread them.

What do you do to unwind and relax?
That’s easy! Curl up under the covers with a good romance novel.

What’s your greatest weakness?
I have the hardest time saying NO to people. It gets me in trouble more often than not.

What trait do you find the sexiest?
Confidence and a sense of humour. I know, that’s two, but put them together and ooh-la-la!

How do you decide how hot or not your book is going to be?
I don’t decide. I just write, scene after scene after scene. If a sexy moment arises, hey, who am I to deny fate?

Is there any erotic scenarios you wouldn’t write about?
Absolutely. If I don’t enjoy it, or at least get a little turned on by it, I most likely won’t write about it.

Is the stuff you write about from experience or mostly imagination?
Imagination mostly. My life experiences are far to dull to write about.

What’s your idea of a perfect romantic evening?
No kids. Hubby naked. I’m easy to please.

What do you do to get in the mood for writing love scenes? Candles, music etc?
I’m always in the mood to write love scenes. My mood, however, dictates how the love scene plays out.

What do you do when you’re not writing?
Obsess about writing. Sad, but true.

Krissy is a full time writer, reader and lover of all things romance.
As a child surrounded by the great outdoors, life was full of adventure that fueled an overactive imagination and ignited a passion for storytelling. Whether it be dolls, or running free through the wooded areas surrounding her home, playtime always included a tormented villain, a damsel in distress and a larger than life hero.
After relentless encouragement from friends and family, she finally put the characters in her head to pen and paper. The only thing she loves more than curling up with a steamy romance novel, is cozying up to her desk and writing her own sexy adventures to share with others.
